The article exposes the exodus of the Arab Jews to Israel, and relates the experience
of Reuven Snir, who took part in the socialization in Israel schools, which sought to
separate Arab and Jewish identities. Reuven highlights the way of transformation he
has undergone, criticizing this policy, which has already succeeded in achieving its
goals. Yet his name is considered exceptional in front of those of other Israeli poets
who wrote in Arabic. The relationship between language, poetry and distinction was
embodied in him personally and in some of his colleagues, and it reflects the
question of identity among Arab Jews in Israel.
