Résumé |
If cognitive psychology is the current psychology, are we witnessing its decline? What is the alternative that will shape the psychology? To answer these questions, we have dealt in this article with three basic axis: The first is devoted to the origins, roots, manifestations and dimensions of cognitive psychology and its scientific project. The second axis is considered with the criticisms about cognitive psychology. Then the third axis is about possible alternatives to cognitive psychology and future perceptions of psychology. Since cognitive psychology formed a cognitive revolution during the The 1950s witnessed defects and deficiencies as well and was accused of negligence of the emotional and behavioral components in its treatment. Therefore, in this article, we sought to present potential alternatives to cognitive psychology, and future perceptions of the field of psychology through a careful reading of the shortcomings, and then we suggest three possible alternatives. The first of which is related to cognitive developmental psychology, the second is connected to cognitive science, especially artificial intelligence systems and the third alternative is neurocognitive psychology, which came to cover the inability of cognitive psychologists to explain how the human mind operates, based on theoretical applications and perceptions by simulating computer operation only, as it became possible to reach an explanation of some phenomena such as forgetfulness, which is not related to cognitive storage or retrieval as argued, but to chemical reactions at the level of neurons; |
