Résumé

Over the centuries, ancient Anfa has been part of the history of North Africa. A city renowned for its agriculture, trade and port. In 1469, this ancient city was attacked by the Portuguese, forcing its inhabitants to leave for three centuries. The Alawite sultan Moulay Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah succeeded in rebuilding the town by populating in with Haha Berbers. Anfa was reborn as Dar el Beida. This coastal town attracted the French, who were encouraged to build the port of Casablanca and subsequently sign the Protectorate Treaty in 1912. Thanks to the architect Prost and under the orders of Marshal Lyautey, several redevelopment projects were carried out. Today, Casablanca is one of Africa’s largest metropolises. Although the city has won its independence, its architecture is an incorruptible witness to its colonial history
