Résumé

This paper seeks to emphasize one of the most important concepts in sociological analysis: the concept of power. We focus on two levels of analysis. (1) power from the macro-sociological perspective, (2) power from the micro-sociological perspective.

 At the macro-sociological level, we introduce the Marxist, Functionalist and Weberist theories. At the micro-sociological level, we focus on two main theories: exchange and constructivist (interactionist) approaches. Through this analysis, we highlight the various implication, components and dimensions that many sociologists put forward for the concept of power.
