Development of erbium-sensitive optical sensor based on azo-calix[4]arene

Abstract


Sensitive optical sensor membrane was elaborated to detect erbium cation in aqueous solution. The sensing film is based on chromogenic calix[4]arene derivative. The optode film was studied unsing UV/Vis absorption spectrcopy measurements. The snsitivity of the optode nas been tested for Er3+ ions at pH 6.8. The charateristics of this optode such as reponse time, reversibilility, reproductibility and ion selectivity are discussed.
