The Corrosion inhibition effect of Hydralazine.HCl on the zinc in Acidic media.
Abstract
The inhibition efficiency of Hydralazine.HCl for zinc in 0.1M HCl media is investigated by Tafel polarization method and AC-impedence method at 303K-333K. The decrease in the corrosion current, corrosion rate with the concentration of inhibitor which were evaluated by Tafel method. And also tafel method exhibit the mixed type inhibition characteristics of inhibitor. Rp value and cdl values are calculatedĀ by AC-impedance method. The adsorption of inhibitor follows Langmuir adsorption isotherm. The mechanism of adsorption phenomena are explained by the -DG0ads,-DH0ads,-DS0ads values. The effect of temperature on the corrosion and inhibition are evaluated by Activation parameters.
