Synthesis of a new tetrafunctional epoxy resin by chemical modification of DGETBBA

Abstract


The objective of the present work is to synthesize a new tetrafunctional epoxy resin in two stages. In the first stage, we synthesized the DGETBBA basically on Tetrabromo Bisphenol A as a model. The second stage lead us to the synthesis of the tetrafunctional resin by adding a nucleophile (aniline) on DGETBBA. The microscopic structural characterization was obtained using the Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) 1H 13C. The viscosimetric characterization of this new synthesized resin was evaluated by the viscometer on the other hand.
