Monitoring of heavy metals (Cd, Pb, Cr and Zn) of industrial wastewater by the process of infiltration percolation (Case of Sand of M'Zar and Sand of Oued Souss)
Abstract
Nowadays the treatment of domestic and industrial wastewater is a very important issue for environment protection. The reuse of this water and recycling industrial products are as opportunities already implemented. The technique of infiltration-percolation is a process under development for the treatment of wastewater, because it broadens the range of possibilities for reuse of these waters. This cheap treatment system seems best for our local context because it offers these advantages and potentials. The effectiveness of this technique involves the study of a number of physic-chemical parameters and the characterization of the gravel pack. By experimental approach, our study will focus on the influence of the characteristics of the supporting filter vis-à-vis the elimination of some heavy metals from industrial wastewater.
