Kinetics of thermal degradation of unsaturated polyester resin and their composite with porcelain powder: determination of activation energy

The thermal degradation of an unsaturated polyester resin and the composite fabricated with porcelain powder obtained from ceramic waste and the resin was studied under non isothermal conditions in argon atmosphere. For kinetic analysis, the TGA/DTG data obtained at three different heating rates were processed by Friedman, Kissinger-Akahira-Sunose and Flynn-Wall-Ozawa methods. The analysis indicates a complex mechanism of degradation of composite.
