Résumé
The main objective of this article is to highlight the importance of the water patrimony in the assessment of sources, their irrigated areas, and to determine their contribution to the organization of space and society, while highlighting the most important developmental issues. In this regard, we have adopted a methodology based on fieldwork, inventory, and prospection of all the hydraulic patrimony and practices adopted by the local population in the management of water resources, as well as some research references on patrimony and development. The results of this article are summarized as follows: first, the mountains of the central Rif are rich and varied by elements of hydraulic patrimony; second, the hydraulic patrimony in the region suffers from deterioration and neglect. Finally, this patrimony could be a prime driver for development in the region.
