Lalla Hind LAGDIM SOUSSI

Résumé

The territory is now gaining increasing importance in the community of scientists, politicians, but also economic actors.

In Morocco, this interest is reflected in the project of advanced regionalization which gives priority to the regions by assigning them the heavy mission of territorial development.

The territories are different from one to another and these differences underlie the competitiveness of territories and the economic actors that make up them.

Innovation is, for the territories,  a general lever that strengthens this competitiveness, and supports sustainable development .

This article describes the Souss-Massa -Draâ region's highly successful experience in innovation and its impact on territorial sustainable development.

Indeed, this innovation combining three technologies: drip, meteo station and smartphone, allows today the region to optimize the production of the culture of citrus fruits on one hand, and to save water resource on the other hand.
