MORPHODYNAMICS OF MFOA RIVER IN BRAZZAVILLE CENTER (REPUBLIC OF CONGO)

Idriss MBOUKA MILANDOU

Résumé

The Mfoa River bed located between Loutassi Avenue and Mfoa Street, into Brazzaville, in Congo, has a beds fluvial dynamic with a moving bottom. Based on a literature review, field surveys and some indices evaluation, this article proposed to determine the current fluvial morphodynamics conditions of Mfoa River. The main results show that Mfoa has a low morphodynamic because of its hydromorphometric and sedimentological characteristics despite a large runoff favored by its watershed waterproofing. The fattening and alluvial beds erosion are slow, resulting in a less intense dynamic.
