Résumé

This study presents a model to explain the phenomenon of knowledge sharing, using a
cultural and motivational perspective. Although attempts to share and popularize knowledge
have multiplied in recent years, some have failed. Consequently, five explanatory variables
for the behavior under study were identified using a literature review, which followed a
hypothetico-deductive approach. These variables are organizational culture, reward systems,
information technology, organizational structure and management support. The proposals
were tested with 200 employees of an international leader in the automotive sector in
Morocco.
