French at the secondary cycle Moroccan qualifying: teaching values, reality or lure?

yassine BOUROUAHA

Résumé

The last recorded reform of teaching French at tertiary school qualification, carried out in Morocco in 2002, focuses on teaching values through literary works. The official texts offer instructions or the order of axiological orientations and it is to the teacher who has to profess the values that are part of this teaching and in harmony with the social, cultural and spiritual climate that permeates the country. This poses a huge problem regarding the operationalization of the dimension of values.

Our work tries to answer the intriguing question about the real possibilities of professing values through literary works. A task which remains in our opinion illusory putting the teacher of French as a foreign language, in the absence of continuing training and official documents on the operationalization of values, in an embarrassing and overwhelming situation.
