1. DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND PERCEIVED QUALITY OF CARE: AN EMPIRICAL ANALYSIS OF THE IMPACT OF DIGITALIZATION ON USER SATISFACTION IN MOROCCAN HEALTHCARE INSTITUTIONS

Résumé

Digital transformation is reshaping healthcare systems worldwide by integrating technologies such as electronic health records, telemedicine, and mobile health applications into the delivery of healthcare services. In Morocco, these initiatives are part of broader national health reforms aimed at enhancing service accessibility, quality, and patient-centered care. 

This study examines the impact of digital transformation on perceived healthcare quality and patient satisfaction in Moroccan healthcare institutions. It synthesizes recent evidence from both international and national literature to identify key factors influencing the success of digital health implementation. 

The research adopts a meta-analytic approach, reviewing systematic reviews, large-scale studies, and empirical research on digital health modalities. Analysis focuses on their effects on accessibility, continuity of care, service personalization, and patient experience, while also considering contextual challenges. 

Findings reveal that digital tools can significantly improve patient satisfaction and perceived care quality when supported by robust infrastructure, interoperability standards, user-centered design, and effective governance. Conversely, limitations such as low digital literacy, privacy concerns, and regional disparities may reduce their effectiveness.

The study recommends that policymakers and healthcare managers integrate digital health into broader organizational change strategies, ensuring equitable access, continuous training, and performance monitoring. Such integration can foster sustainable, high-quality, and patient-focused healthcare services in Morocco.
