Les déterminants de survie de la pharmacie d’officine au Maroc
Résumé
This article aims to understand and analyze the determinants of the survival of pharmacies in Morocco. Referring to previous academic researchs, we hypothesize that survival is explained by three factors: the pharmacist's profile, the organizational characteristics of the business and the business environment. We examine this hypothesis on a sample of 120 Moroccan pharmacies. The results obtained show that the human and social capital available to a pharmacist contributes to improving the probability of survival of his business (gender, entrepreneurial environment, motivation). The environment in which the pharmacy is created also contributes to the survival of the Moroccan pharmacy through entrepreneurial training and support for the pharmacist. As for organizational characteristics, it should be noted that there is a positive correlation between the size of the start-up capital and survival. Unfortunately, state support in this area is ineffective (investment subsidies, state coverage of part of salaries), except for exemptions from social security charges.
