La gouvernance financière du développement urbain durable : un levier de changement pour une régionalisation avancée au Maroc

Naoufel BELHAJ

Résumé

The implementation of advanced regionalization in Morocco, is part of a new model of governance and territorial intelligence. It aims to strengthen funding for the socio-economic development of regions and cities. However, the lack of financial resources in relation to the powers transferred to the regions remains the real constraint likely to complicate the progress of this project. This article uses the case of Morocco to analyze the territorial governance and financing issues of cities and regions for sustainable urban development. We also discuss the challenges, issues and prospects for strengthening the financing of the socio-economic development of regions and cities.
