Motivation and commitment to work are seen as factors that can improve the performance of the organization. Even if these concepts have been debated many times, they are still a subject of reflection in the literature of organizational behavior.
Among the factors influencing motivation and commitment, recognition is proving to be a very important source.
In this article, we propose to contribute to improve the understanding of the relation ship between the recognition and motivation of executives employed in the context of pre-employment and their commitment.
After a review of the literature, the results of an empirical study conducted among 60 employees in the framework of pre-employment at the level of public institutions in the wilaya of Tlemcen confirm our hypotheses about the role of recognition in motivating and engaging this category of employees.
