This article examine the effect of financial development on economic growth in sub-Saharan African countries over a period from 1980 to 2015. The empirical estimation realized using PSTR (Panel Smooth Threshold Regression) show that there is a non-linear relationship between financial development and economic growth. These results confirm the presence of threshold effect.
