The purpose of this article is to address the issue of the difficulties and problems faced by small and medium enterprises (SMEs). In fact, SMEs are an important driver of growth in many countries, especially in developing countries. In Morocco, for example, SMEs account for over 95% of all existing businesses. Despite their importance, most of them are facing the threat of failure.

So to detail this subject, we will first present the definition of SMEs adopted in Morocco, then show its importance at the national level, then focus on the origins of the constraints facing our SMEs to explain the large number companies that declare failing every year in Morocco.
