IMPACT DE L’INVESTISSEMENT DIRECT ETRANGER SUR LA CROISSANCE ECONOMIQUE EN ALGERIE : « UNE ETUDE EMPIRIQUE EN UTILISANT L’APPROCHE ARCH AND GARCH »

Résumé

The aim of this study is to model the relationship between foreign direct investment (FDI) and economic growth in Algeria during the period 1990 - 2015. We used the ARCH and GARCH estimation method to evaluate the impact of Rate of foreign direct investment on the rate of economic growth in Algeria.

The main results of our study lead us to conclude that there is a significant positive impact of foreign direct investment on economic growth. These results show that FDI could help the process of economic growth in Algeria, which is considered to be a developing country.
