Résumé

This paper aims to analyze the impact of employment policies on reducing youth unemployment in Senegal. The results showed that many young people are not interested in its programs because they think they will not be able to receive funding. To this end, we recommend communications policies that can reassure and motivate them to sign up for programs. The results also showed that the majority of funding recipients are educated and have received vocational training (80%).It is therefore urgent to focus on vocational training in order to resolve the problem of mismatch between training and employment, which is a major determinant of unemployment in Senegal.
