REDEPLOIEMENT SPATIAL ET DYNAMIQUE TERRITORIALE : LE CAS DE TRANSFERT DES ATELIERS ARTISANAUX DE LA MEDINA DE FES VERS DE NOUVELLES ZONES D’ACTIVITES

Naoual OUAZZANI TOUHAMI

Résumé

The transfer of craft workshops from the Fez’s medina to new areas of activity was at the origin of the revitalization and the reactivation of the know-how that has been observed throughout the artisanal territory of Fez, inducing an overall territorial dynamics. The latter, which is based, in particular, on the combination of various and varied factors, generated a real industrial dynamics at the "local scale". These factors, of the local dynamics underlying the notion of territory, constitute the backbone of this article as well as the axis around which our questions evolve. A concrete case is analyzed: the brassware in Fez. The analysis carried out in the conceptual and methodological framework defined by the notions of "territory" and "territorial approach" leads to a principal conclusion: the emergence of a form of economic organization, but also a political, spatial, as well as social, carrying effects of training and territorial dynamism.
