Résumé

In an era characterised by rapid technological advancement and global interconnectedness, the importance of equipping high school students with 21st-century skills cannot be overstated. This article explores the significance of introducing these skills in high school settings and demonstrates through two case studies the transformative impact of connected classrooms on the learners’ development. Drawing on theories of globalization, education, and technology, this research investigates how "My Identity, Your Identity" project effectively fosters collaboration, critical thinking, and cultural appreciation among high school students. The results reveal that connected classrooms enhance students' global perspectives, provide access to expertise, promote collaborative learning, expand learning opportunities, and prepare students for online education. Furthermore, these experiences enable personalized learning, the development of real-world skills, and college preparedness. By embracing technology and global connections, high schools can better prepare students for success in an increasingly interconnected world.
