| 4. | Description | Abstract | Simple systems of mechanized water spraying use mainly the swivel ramp and the front ramp, which are mainly used in large irrigated farms. The present study includes the diagnosis of operation of a swinging ramp and a frontal ramp, and the assessment of the quality of watering carried out by each system. This work has particularly affected the comparison of the rainfall distribution of the water and the coefficient of uniformity of each system with respect to the other under climatic conditions and with close operating pressures. The operating balance noted that both systems were capable of ensuring a homogeneous rainfall distribution Given their uniformity coefficients still close to 90%. When the wind is strong, this distribution becomes more dispersed for the pivot relative to that produced by the frontal ramp which remains relatively homogeneous. The front ramp is then slightly sensitive to the wind with respect to the pivoting ramp. This comparison also revealed that the frontal ramp is the least demanding in terms of energy, since the coefficient of uniformity remains largely high (Cu = 93.5%) even with operating pressure considered low of the order of 1.8 bars relative to the coefficient got for the pivot (Cu = 84%). |
