4. Description Abstract This work is carried out under the research project "Wastewater Reuse by using unconventional technologies". We present the first data from a study of the behavior of Intermittent Sand Filter for the regeneration of the effluent from the lagooning system. The results corroborate that the effluent, after of the Intermittent Sand Filter meet the requirements for most applications envisaged in the Spanish Royal Decree 1620/2007, establishing the legal framework for the reuse of treated water
