Résumé

The current global economic context presents growing risks and increased competition. As a developing country and leader in Africa, Morocco needs a robust economy to adapt to potential changes. In general, the financial system plays a crucial role in stimulating economic growth, which justifies the following reforms in the Moroccan banking sector in recent years.

Given the crucial importance of the banking system to the national economy, it makes sense to take a close look at bank profitability. This current project focuses assessing this profitability through the economic and financial ratios of Moroccan banks listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange (AWB - BCP - BMCI - BOA - CDM and CIH) for the period 2015- 2020, in order to identify the internal and external factors that may influence the profitability of these banks.
