Résumé

While social entrepreneurship (SE) is gaining increasing attention in Morocco, the academic discourse on the subject remains fragmented. This study seeks to address this gap by systematically mapping and synthesizing the existing literature on SE in Morocco. A total of 25 scholarly articles from the Web of Science (WoS) database were analyzed using bibliometric methods to identify prevailing trends, key contributors, and thematic areas. A systematic review of these articles was also conducted to understand how SE is perceived and studied within the Moroccan context. The analysis identified four main research themes: (i) the definition and conceptualization of social entrepreneurship, (ii) the SE ecosystem and its governance framework, (iii) the relationship between social entrepreneurship and gender dynamics, and (iv) the motivations and personality traits of social entrepreneurs in Morocco.
