SUPPLY CHAIN RISK MANAGEMENT PROCESS: LITERATURE REVIEW
Abstract
Purpose:
The intent of this article is to review what has been studied to date in Supply chain risk management SCRM including the various axes related to it (risk identification, risk assessment, risk treatment and risk monitoring). Research articles published between 2020 and 2022 were obtained from various journals through the Web of Science database to be evaluated then and to identify future research directions.
Methodology/approach:
Using a systematic approach following PRISMA guidelines, 1001 research documents were reviewed, filtered and finally 28 articles that met the defined selection criteria were analyzed.
Findings:
This paper presents a review of 28 international journal articles appearing between 2020 and
2022 targeting the area of SCRM. The present study analyzed SCRM in terms of aspects such as: Risk identification, Risk assessment, Risk mitigation strategies, Risk monitoring, and categorize all these steps according to the methods developed.
Originality / value:
The results contribute to the supply chain risk management literature by the identification of supply chain risk management process and methods utilized in its steps so that could help researchers and practitioners to better manage risks in their supply chain and ameliorate their activity performance.
