Introduction

Abstract

After a long suspension for about four years due to the outbreak of Covid-19, ALCS International Conference on Cultures and Languages in Contact reopens its venue for its expanding network of collaborative international researchers who have contributed state-of-the-art papers in different fields of the humanities. This year’s edition has seen the participation of both established and young researchers, whose presence side by side in the different panels ensured a constructive exchange of expertise.

The ALCS Lab devotes this special issue of its Journal of Applied Language and Culture Studies (JALCS) to a selection of reviewed conference papers covering areas of core and applied linguistics, literary, cultural and translation studies, as well as the rising fields of media and film studies.
