LA CARTOGRAPHIE ET LA CARACTERISATION DE LA SENSIBILITE A LA DESERTIFICATION DANS LE BASSIN VERSANT DU HAUT OUERGHA (RIF CENTRAL - MAROC) PAR L’APPROCHE MEDALUS

Le présent travail a pour objectif l’élaboration de la carte de sensibilité à la désertification dans le bassin versant du Haut Ouergha, par l’application de l’approche MEDALUS (Mediterranean Desertification And Land Use). Cette carte se base sur l’intégration des facteurs déterminant dans la dégradation des terres. Il s’agit des facteurs liés aux caractéristiques physiques du milieu (climat, recouvrement des sols, pente, sols) et aux actions anthropiques (pratiques d’occupation des sols, la densité de la population). La combinaison de quatre indices (l’indice de qualité des sols (IQS), l’indice de qualité du climat (IQC), l’indice de qualité de la végétation (IQV) et l’indice de qualité du système d’aménagement des terres (IQSA)) permet l’élaboration de la carte de sensibilité à la désertification.

L’application de l’approche MEDALUS montre que le bassin versant du Haut Ouergha est un milieu sensible à la désertification. En effet, les zones critiques représentent environ 26.85% de la superficie totale du bassin, les zones fragiles occupent 31.95%, les zones potentiellement sensibles totalisent 34.38%, tandis que les zones peu sensibles occupent 6.82%. Dans la zone d’étude, la pression anthropique sur les ressources naturelles et la succession des années sèches ont accentué la sensibilité de la région à la désertification.

Abstract

MAPPING AND CHARACTERIZATION OF SENSITIVITY TO DESERTIFICATION IN THE UPPER OUERGHA WATERSHED (CENTRAL RIF - MOROCCO) BY THE MEDALUS APPROACH

This paper aims to elaborate desertification sensitivity map in the upper Ouergha watershed, by applying the MEDALUS (Mediterranean Desertification and Land Use) approach. The desertification sensitivity map is based on the integration of several determining factors in land degradation. These are the factors related to the physical characteristics of the environment (climate, soil cover, slope, soils) and anthropogenic actions (land use practices, population density). The combination of four indices: the soil quality index (IQS), the climate quality index (IQC), the vegetation quality index (IQV) and the quality index of the management system (IQSA), allows the preparation of the desertification sensitivity map.

                The application of the MEDALUS approach shows that the upper Ouergha watershed is an environment sensitive to desertification. Indeed, the critical areas (very high sensitivity to desertification), represent about 26.85% of the total area of the basin, the fragile areas occupy 31.95%, the potentially sensitive areas total 34.38%, while the less sensitive areas occupy 6.82%. In the study area, anthropogenic pressure on natural resources and climatic hazards aggravated the sensitivity to desertification.

خرائطية وتوصيف حساسية التصحر بحوض ورغة الأعلى (الريف الأوسط - المغرب) من خلال تطبيق مقاربة MEDALU

يهدف هذا العمل إلى إنجاز خريطة حساسية التصحر بحوض ورغة الاعلى من خلال تطبيق مقاربة MEDALUS. يعتمد إنجاز خريطة حساسية التصحر على دمج / تنضيد مجموعة من العوامل المتحكمة في تدهور الأراضي. ويتعلق الامر بالعوامل الطبيعية (المناخ، الغطاء النباتي، الانحدار، التربة) والعوامل المرتبطة بالأنشطة البشرية (استعمالات التربة، الكثافة السكانية). إن دمج المؤشرات الأربع لمقاربة MEDALUS وهي: مؤشر جودة التربة، مؤشر جودة المناخ، مؤشر جودة النبات ومؤشر جودة تهيئة الأراضي، مكننا من الحصول على مؤشر حساسية التصحر.

أظهرت النتائج المحصل عليها من خلال تطبيق مقاربة MEDALUS  أن حوض ورغة الاعلى يعتبر مجالا هشا  وذو حساسية عالية للتصحر. حيت تحتل المناطق شديدة الحساسية للتصحر حوالي 26.85 % من إجمالي مساحة الحوض، وتشغل المناطق ذات الحساسية المتوسطة 31.95 % أما المناطق الضعيفة الحساسية فلا تمثل سوى 6.82.%   إن تزايد الضغط البشري على الموارد الطبيعية وتوالي سنوات الجفاف ساهما في الرفع من حساسية التصحر بمجال الدراسة.
