Résumé

With the internationalization and openness of economies, one of the issues that constitute a fundamental element in the economic life of an open country is the exchange rate. So, the purpose of this paper is to identify the historical transition that Morocco will perform: Motivations, Prerequisites and issues.

However, there is no single exchange rate regime that is suitable for all countries and under all circumstances. Each country can freely choose the regime best suited to its needs; which must, however, be supported by a coherent economic policy.

It is within this framework that this article is inscribed which looks at the flexibility of the exchange rate for the case of Morocco and its effects, challenges and some perspectives and its contribution to economic development.
