African Journal on Land Policy and Geospatial Sciences

African Journal on Land Policy and Geospatial Sciences is a journal specialized in publishing research activities carried out in the field of geo-spatial sciences and land governance. It aims to encourage innovation, promote the exchange of knowledge and scientific outcomes related to its themes. The journal's target community is made-up of researchers, professors and professionals working in the newspaper field. The journal also aims to promote scientific articles and productions at the African, regional and global levels. The institutions as well as the international universities will enrich by their contribution the scientific level of the journal. The journal can, among other things, deal with professional themes and good practices in the field of land governance.

Announcement and Call

The AJLP&GS Journal is devoted to improving the quality of its knowledge production that shares vital information on the society behavior to land. New scientific way shall be considered in varying the products of the journal. Various contributors may be not be academicians but have vast experience in the cultural and creative spaces shall be offered opportunities to publish knowledge affecting and affected by society. The Journal in the future plan will have a key role in generating and disseminating knowledge and ought to have implications for practical policy and programmatic, even when driven by a theoretical curiosity.

According to the results of a survey conducted in May 2020 about the future trends of the journal and regarding the outcomes of editorial board meeting of June 2020, the following types of manuscripts are adopted:

    • Articles that present the results of a scientific study according to a specific research method,

    • Review Papers that could be manuscripts providing an overview of existing research results on a specific topic or literature review presenting an overview of the existing literature on a subject,

    • Columns that provide, in a short format, original topics addressing social and behavioral aspects of land in Africa. This category will be interesting to many specialists that will likely stimulate further ideas linked to land in the African context. In this category, each author is responsible for his ideas and must observe compliance with ethics toward society and governments as recognized in the African sphere. Arts and short captions as fables and stories linked to land in Africa are accepted.

The fields of the accepted manuscripts for publishing have been updated in order to encompass the number of manuscripts we received in the field of Sustainable Urban Development and city resilience. Indeed, a fifth section has been added. The updated sections are listed below and managed by the Associate Editors:

The journal publishes one Volume per year and five issues per volume. Each issue encompasses:

    • At least 5 to 7 articles;

    • At least 2 to 3 Review papers;

    • At least 2 to 3 manuscripts called Column that deals with cultural, social, and knowledge aspects of land in the African Context.

The Editorial Board is kindly inviting all scientists, authors, Phd students, Researchers, and professionals in land policy and geospatial sciences to send their contributions twelve (12) weeks before the publishing time of an issue. The issues are scheduled for the following dates: January 31st, March 31st, May 31st, September 31st, and November 30th.

The Editorial Board is very delighted to welcome all your contributions that enrich our knowledge and promote our culture.
